The biennial Organic Seed Growers Conference, hosted by the Organic Seed Alliance, is heralded as one of a kind. Held on January 31-February 1st in Corvallis, OR, this year’s conference promises to bring together hundreds of farmers, plant breeders, researchers, university extension, certifiers, food companies, seed production and distribution companies, and other organic stakeholders for  two full days of presentations, panel discussions, and networking events.

The Organic Seed Growers and Trade Association is pleased to be in attendance.

OSGATA’s Meet n’ Greet Mixer. Immediately following the Pre-Conference Tour of Organic Seed in the Willamette Valley, OSGATA is hosting a Meet n’ Greet Mixer for conference participants. Join us at McMenamin’s Pub Brewery,  from 6:30-8pm PST. Come for a pre-dinner drink and an opportunity to network with other members of the organic seed community! McMenamin’s is conveniently located at 2001 NW Monroe Ave.,  in easy walking distance of the OSU conference center. Admission and hor d’oeuvres are free. Cash bar.

Panel Session: GE Contamination Avoidance and Testing Protocols. General Manager, Holli Cederholm, will be presenting OSGATA’s newest resource, Protecting Organic Seed Integrity: The Organic Farmer’s Handbook to GE Avoidance and Testing, as a part of a panel entitled “GE Contamination Avoidance and Testing Protocols” on Friday, January 31, from 1:30-3pm PST.

Trade Show. OSGATA will also be at the event’s Trade Show, from 5-7pm PST, on both Friday, January 31 and  Saturday, February 1. Please stop by and grab your own free copy of Protecting Organic Seed Integrity: The Organic Farmer’s Handbook to GE Avoidance and Testing.

OSGATA 2014 Annual Meeting. OSGATA’s 2014 Annual Meeting is on Saturday, February 1, from 5-6pm PST. It is open to the public and we encourage both current members and anyone interested in learning more about the organization to attend.
