The 34th National Pesticide Forum will be convening on April 15-16, at the University of Southern Maine, in Portland, ME. The Forum is an opportunity for grassroots advocates, scientists, and policy makers to build local, state, and national strategies to protect human health and the environment, as well as organic land management strategies.
The event kicks off on Friday afternoon with an urban farm tour. A full slate of presentations round out the two-day event, addressing such important topics as: Pesticides 101, Pollinators and Pesticides, Protecting Waterways, and Biodiversity, Ecology, and Soil Health.
OSGATA President Jim Gerritsen is keynote speaker on Saturday, April 16, addressing “Organic Standards, Seeds and Supplies.” See the full conference agenda here.
The 34th National Pesticide Forum is made possible by a collaborative partnership between Beyond Pesticides and various local groups, including the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), Toxics Action Center, and Protect South Portland.
